ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born and raised in San Francisco, the earliest memories I have are of drawing on walls and record jackets with a crayon, to my parents' dismay–but soon after their encouragement.
I have over 20 years of experience studying and practicing in traditional and digital mediums, beginning in high school at San Francisco School of the Arts, and later in the Visual arts and Digital arts programs at San Francisco City College. There I received two certificates in digital arts and illustration. During that time I built an extensive library of personal work, private commissions and student work that I am very proud of.
Before 2020, I didn't think pursuing art and illustration as a career would be possible for me. Soon after high school I began working full time at blue-collar jobs and left prospects of an art degree behind me. I stayed passionate, making art and taking commissions when I could. However it wasn't until life turned upside down with lockdowns, and my wife (then partner) encouraged me to do what I always wanted, that I made art my mission. I am so grateful to have the time and opportunity now to finally make this happen.
