A portrait of Mike Ehrmantraut, inspired by the performances of Jonathan Banks in the television series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The illustration focuses on the character’s stoic presence and weary resolve, emphasizing subtle expression, dramatic lighting, and atmosphere to capture the quiet intensity that defines him. The piece was created for exhibition as a large print at the 2023 San Francisco Fan Expo. Mike Ehrmantraut has long been one of my favorite characters across both series, making this portrait a particularly rewarding tribute to illustrate.
