Influenced by modern interpretations of the character in The Dark Knight and Joker, this illustration explores the unsettling contrast between theatrical charm and underlying menace. The composition places the character in a throne of stolen wealth, emphasizing the anarchic philosophy and chaotic self-confidence that define him. The piece reflects my view of the character as both a product of societal decay and a symbol of the dangerous impulses that can exist beneath civility.
